One of the important subjects of study in our higher institutions of learning in Nigeria contract. The Law of contract is a subject which cuts across all facets of studies both outside the faculty of law. Unlike some other areas of law, the law of contract is regulated by case law rather than by statute. Although there are few statutes which regulates area of the law of contract, the bulk of the law on contract are to be found in the case law. Ireca:1-2_ case law are scattered in different law reports some of which are old and no longer in existence_ the major problems being encounter by Law students, lecturers, lawyers, Judges, and other people having anything to do with the law of contract is how and where to find the appropriate case 'law applicable to a specific case.

The Book Notes and Cases on the Nigerian Law of Contract is a result of painstaking research conducted to solve these problems by compiling all the celebrated cases on the law of Although there are many books written by scholar and legal minds on Law of contract, few books exist which discuss the law of contract from the cases perspective.

The book contains brief notes on each topic followed by decided cases both old and recent. It is my strong believe that this book will assists students, law lecturers, legal practitioners, Judges and any other persons having anything to do with the Law of contract to have easy and direct reference to cases and information on any matters relating to the Law of Contract. I am further convinced that will be a veritable research material students and legal practitioners both within and outside the court room.
