Kaduna Boy is the story of a child who was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He grew up under strict, and sometimes harsh discipline, full of childhood pranks, occasionally mischievous while 'hawking coconut' but infused with the fear of God and kindness to fellow men. He was not a genius, but he was clever enough. The story is told with childlike simplicity and innocence.

Chief 'Bola Ige attended St. Joseph's Catholic School, Kaduna, St. John's School, Iloro, Ilesa, and Ibadan Grammar School. He then went to the University College, Ibadan as the first University Major Scholar in Arts and read Classics. He later proceeded to the University College, London, where he read Law. He was called to the Bar at the Inner Temple. He has held various public offices, and from 15t October 1979 to 30th September 1983 he was the first Executive Governor of Oyo State of Nigeria. He practises law in Lagos and Ibadan.
